Post Description:

• We are looking for critical thinkers and self starters that can help the Strategic Planning team as we continue taking on critical projects for SPS. A successful candidate can translate and communicate information into meaningful results and do the research to find out the answers. We want you to bring fresh ideas and approaches to our team and help us to exceed our customers expectations.

• Through this internship, you will benefit from shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with experienced and accomplished company professionals. You will gain exposure in working in collaborative projects with multiple stakeholders and projects with positive business results across the company.  This will be an opportunity starting in January 2025, extending into the summer. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer.  If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must live in a commutable distance to our office in Amarillo, TX
• Enrolled in programs focused on Science, Technology, or Mathematics, such as computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, data science, drafting, gas design, electric design, project management, construction management, chemistry, biology, environmental studies, natural sciences, and similar.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $18.40 to $20.40 per hour

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
