Position Summary

Climate change has driven an increase in faulty events within the electric distribution system. Our company is seeking a motivated intern to support our Internal Wildfire Risk Management team in Denver, CO. The program will focus on scrubbing, organizing, and reporting outage and risk events data. Additionally, this position will assist the department in performing root cause analysis that leads to actionable insights. The intern will engage in data analysis to enhance risk events reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data scrubbing and cleansing to ensure data accuracy.

  • Utilize data analytics skills to provide business insights, alongside historical and predictive analysis.

  • Learn and apply wildfire risk management concepts to help reduce risk in our operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in programs focused on Technology or Mathematics, such as Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related fields.

  • Ability to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with other analytical software is a plus.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $15.20 to $19.00 per hour
