Campus - Intern, Co-Op, Recent Graduate Jobs

As an intern, you will explore both your major and your career with professionals working in the industry, and will gain valuable real-world experience. You will broaden your knowledge as you apply what you have learned in the classroom. As a result, you will be able to develop the interpersonal skills, competencies and work characteristics sought by employers. You'll gain a better understanding of your field, develop confidence in your abilities and learn how to get things done. In general, you'll be better prepared to enter the world of work!

Typically, internships start small and your responsibilities will grow over time. Engineering interns may start by assisting Senior Engineers with projects and later lead projects of their own. Similarly, accounting interns may start in a supporting role on a key project and could later assume additional responsibility as skills develop.

Whether it is within the department in which the internship resides, or within another department, a positive internship experience will lead to future opportunities. Xcel Energy has a successful track record leveraging interns and recent graduates for full-time, entry-level opportunities. We hope you will explore opportunities with us!
