Access Authorization/FFD Coordinator Job

Position Summary

Responsible for the implementation of nuclear Access Authorization (AA) and Fitness for Duty (FFD) Program requirements supporting efficient and effective granting and maintenance of unescorted access at nuclear sites.

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and review nuclear AA Program information in accordance with 10 CFR Part 73.56, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) AA Program. Conduct and review background investigations supporting a determination of trustworthiness and reliability. Maintain AA Program databases. Generate and analyze AA Program data and reports.
  • Develop and review nuclear FFD information in accordance with 10 CFR Part 26, NRC FFD Program. Maintain databases tracking covered workers. Generate and analyze FFD Program data and reports. Coordinate activities ensuring FFD Program compliance. Maintain FFD Program records and support NRC Annual FFD Performance Report preparation. Provide end user training and daily program/system support. Ensure FFD database integrity and support software changes and upgrades.
  • Coordinate AA and FFD in-processing and maintenance resources and activities. Monitor recurring program requirements to ensure continued regulatory compliance and maintenance of nuclear worker fitness for duty, trustworthiness and reliability determinations. Update program procedures, policies and forms in response to assessment and regulatory change.


Minimum Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business related field or equivalent education and experience or an equivalent combination of both.
  • At least 4 years regulatory program compliance administration experience required.
  • Must be available to be on-call 24 hours/7 days a week.
  • Must be available to travel and work flexible hours to meet situational work demands on short notice.
  • Proven communication, problem analysis and organizational skills.
  • .Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency with business software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills i.e., demonstrated ability to effectively interface with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience administering drug-testing programs in compliance with and expert level knowledge of, the 10 CFR Part 26, Nuclear FFD Program regulations highly desirable.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $60,000 to $85,333 per year
