  • Training Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM; permanent schedule options with start times between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
  • Position starts out at $17.00 per hour with shift and Bilingual premiums available. 

 

Position Summary
The Credit and Collections Representative's primary responsibility is to provide accurate information to Xcel Energy customers in a respectful and efficient manner by anticipating the customer’s needs and satisfactorily resolving issues with one contact. Accountable for individual performance indicators of Credit and Collections and productivity to ensure the overall financial objectives are achieved. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential job function.


Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Resolve customer inquiries concerning all credit and collections issues in a timely manner. Perform consistently to meet objectives and goals. Demonstrate personal accountability in areas of dependability and time management. Handle customer inquiries in an environment that requires a high tolerance for stress. De-escalate customer issues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including work on special projects.

 

Onboarding and new hire training may take place virtually. The current regular schedule is a hybrid of work from home and at least one day in the office. To accommodate this, all new hires will need to have access to reliable high-speed internet, and a place in their home or other location where they can train and work without interruption. Must be within 1 hour of either the Eau Claire, WI Contact Center (1414 W Hamilton Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701) or the Amarillo, TX Contact Center (4701 Park Side Drive, Amarillo TX 79109).

 

This position may require on-call shifts during weekdays and/or weekends as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Minimum 18 months of customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience promoting product and services preferred.
  • Bilingual/Spanish experience is a plus.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $15.20 to $21.13 per hour
