IT Director - Human Capital Management Implementation Job

Position Summary
Responsible for overall execution and delivery of the HR technology project portfolio, including project scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and value realization for programs within the portfolio. Ensure collaborates with other IT and business portfolio owners and leaders. Develops and coaches’ teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Build strong effective partnerships with internal and external teams; Strong executive presence; able to influence and navigate complex and competing interest of multiple stakeholders.
- Strategy and Planning: Partner and align with HR business portfolio owners on both the business and strategic technology plans and roadmaps. Drive process improvements and IT service optimization.
- Operational/Delivery Management: Support the ongoing development of best practices and tools for the Human Capital Management (HCM) program execution and management; Conduct project postmortems and champion process improvement initiatives; Ensure comprehensive and seamless project post-implementation transition to HCM support teams.
- Portfolio Management: Management of the investments, projects and activities within IT portfolio; Manage objectives, priorities, delivery and financials.
- Talent Development: Develop a high performing team by building skills through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development; Creates an environment of continuous learning and growth development.
- Financial Management: Manages financial budgets: capital, expense and in-servicing; Manages regulatory commitments as appropriate; Effectively prioritizes financial spend based on strategic company objectives; Ensure financial prudency on behalf of customers and shareholders.
- The HCM Program Director has expertise in several areas of HR Technology while having deep understanding of HR processes and practices, involving business acquisitions, designing system enhancements and supporting all Human Capital Management (HCM) systems including: HR, Benefits, employee/manager self-service, recruiting, organization charts, Compensation, timekeeping, payroll, and Learning Management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent experience.
- Ten years of IT experience and/or integrated utility and regulatory business.
- Sound understanding of core business processes, industry trends, technology and IT environments, project management tools and methods to include risk management, planning and change management.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation and critical thinking skills.
- Experience building and developing teams.
- Exceptional relationship management and communications skills. Ability to interact with senior management.
Preferred
- Five years working knowledge of Human Resource systems, processes, trends and best practices or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Three years of experience with Workday HRMS.
