Position Summary

Key leader in the strategic planning, management and implementation of transformation-focused enterprise programs, including leading the XE1 program. Responsible for program governance and administration including program management and financial management. Accountable for establishing and measuring key performance metrics and analyzing and acting on key trends. Leads continuous improvement efforts. Responsible for directing the management of the day-to-day operations of programs including projects that support strategic technology initiatives, cross-functional business improvement, and business area strategic operational objectives.


Essential Responsibilities

 

 

  • Directs activities across the functional areas to strategically address process, technology and operational improvement, business and process performance measurement. Ensure best-in-class Program Management practices are employed to oversee schedule, cost, governance, and change control processes. Ensure program risk management processes are in place to manage financial, schedule, regulatory, compliance, and public acceptance risk.
  • Collaborate with leaders and others to provide consistent quality, process improvement, and project management support designed to enhance process and technology effectiveness at all levels. Improve organizational commitment to enterprise transformation efforts. Establish framework for prioritizing and managing across programs. Analyze the performance of programs. Responsible for driving accuracy in forecasts, maintaining variance documentation to support rate cases and meeting annual program budget targets. Provide guidance and direction on financial variance management.
  • Identify risks and issues and provide effective mitigation. Monitor overall program activities and resolve/escalate issues as needed. Facilitate resource and release planning efforts at the program, project and initiative levels. Monitor the progress of the execution phase of work efforts and projects to ensure appropriate closure activities are completed in a timely, effective, and consistent manner. Ensure lessons learned are effectively applied.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationship with vendors, leadership teams, business management personnel, Program/Project Managers/Leads. Identify areas in which improved communication is needed and partner with other areas as appropriate to implement those changes. Support budget and ongoing planning processes within programs and associated business areas. Resolve conflict through diplomatic facilitation, negotiation skills, and consensus building techniques.
  • Maintain current knowledge of functional and industry trends. Initiate benchmarking efforts where appropriate. Develop and deliver presentations to share knowledge internally and via external technology and industry forums.

Minimum Requirements

 

 

 

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • At least 10 years related experience, including five years of experience managing complex portfolios or projects.
  • Extensive experience managing multiple and/or large projects.
  • Experience with multiple solutions such as General Ledger, Work and Asset Management, Supply Chain, HR, Customer Information Systems and directing a system integrator.
  • Experience with deploying SAP solutions preferred.
  • Business and technical background with working knowledge of financial and economic analysis, accounting systems, taxes, regulatory and legislative frameworks, engineering principles, and general business practices preferred.
  • Strong background in program/project management.
