Engineering Intern Freshman - Senior - Amarillo, TX Job

Position Summary
Work with the Control Center Operations staff to support transmission projects, both capital and ops/maintenance. Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks spanning all aspects of transmission operations including performance/efficiency, outage coordination, making process improvement recommendations, supporting requests from construction and maintenance. Through practical experience and mentoring, successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in either an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both written and verbally 
  • Must be self- motivated, have good electrical aptitude, and ability to work well with others
  • Must be able to work 10-20 hours per week while school is in session and 40 hours per week when school is out of session

Preferred                               

  • Course work in electrical engineering and an interest in the power industry desirable

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $18.80
