Fleet Customer Specialist Job

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting fleet vehicle operators with their customer service needs, including day-to-day fleet vehicle administrative tasks and acting as a liaison between the vehicle operators and the Fleet group. Build strong working relationships with vehicle operators and business unit leadership to deliver the best customer service possible for maintaining Xcel Energy’s fleet vehicles.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Fleet vehicle related inquiries from Xcel Energy vehicle operators. Manage all calls/emails/inquiries regarding fleet vehicle administrative tasks. Respond to inquiries, prioritize, utilize independent decision-making, and resolve problems. Ensure problems are resolved comprehensively and follow-up is completed according to established timeframes. Meet or exceed departmental & individual performance measures related to customer service scores and time to close customer requests. Provide high quality customer-focused interaction and quick resolution of issues.
  • Responsible for fleet vehicle administrative activities, including supporting garages on preventative maintenance & repair coordination, repair status communications, fuel card transactional issues, replacement of lost cards, insurance and registration paperwork needs, driver inspection reports, and basic technology troubleshooting.
  • Provide flexible coverage to the Fleet Specialist team when needed. Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and take action to implement changes. Document processes and share knowledge with others.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of customer service or administrative experience.
  • Previous experience working in a fleet/automotive environment preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and Fleet management systems preferred
  • Strong typing proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, time management and prioritization skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Passionate about customer service and solving problems.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $17.70 to $24.76 per hour
