Freshman Substation Design Technical Intern-Minneapolis or Eau Claire Job

Our Substation Engineering Design group is looking to bring on a design intern to work at our Downtown Minneapolis or Eau Claire, WI location. The focus of this internship is to provide the student with a broad look at the electrical utility industry through entry-level tasks. This intern will provide assistance on electric transmission line and substation projects through aiding Designers and Engineers in the design, fieldwork, and print preparation for major capital projects. Work may include some special assignments.

The successful candidates must be able to work 15-20 hours a week during the school year and 30-40 hours a week during the summer.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year technical education program at a post-secondary institution focusing on electronics, electrical/technical, automation, architectural, mechanical, or civil structural degree.
• Basic computer skills and aptitude are required.
• Applicants need strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. 
• Must be able to work 15-20 hours a week during the school year and 30-40 hours a week during the summer.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $17.00
