Gas Plant Planning & Operations Supervisor Job

Position Summary

Supervises team planning, scheduling, coordinating work in asset management systems work orders and work packages necessary for the safe and reliable operation of NSPM/W LNG/LPG gas plant equipment in support of maintaining high plant equipment reliability. Supervises the NSPW plant production, operations, maintenance, instrument, and controls team driving the safe, efficient and cost-effective use of resources according to policies and procedures. Assure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. Ensure consistent and effective use of standard tools and processes. Support attainment of corporate and business unit goals and objectives, and process and performance metrics. Serve as a strong communicator of key strategic and operational changes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provides daily oversight of planning and scheduling resources in the planning of work in asset management systems such as planned maintenance, corrective action, repairs, overhauls, planned and unplanned outage work orders/packages necessary for the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment in support of maintaining high plant equipment reliability. Performs assessments of planning effectiveness to identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Responsible for plant productivity and quality of execution. Maintain a consistent presence in the work environment. Assist in removing barriers with pre-requisites, materials, stakeholder, and other issues. Align crew skills and availability to work to ensure work is executed safety, efficiently, and in compliance.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Coordinate the execution and documentation of work in accordance with company policies and procedures, labor agreements, and regulatory standards. Coordinates compliance, safety and technical training. Establish, monitor, and track processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships. Be knowledgeable of necessary systems and resources to assist employees, other work groups, and/or customers and stakeholders. Enable crews to provide solutions to issues and improve customer/stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Talent Management: Recruit talented employees, establish clear performance expectations and effectively manage performance. Provide training, coaching and oversight and drives employee engagement. Provide input and leadership in addressing bargaining unit issues, grievances, corrective actions, and future development.

Minimum Requirements
  • Five years supervisory/utility leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years gas LNG/LPG plant or industrial plant planning, scheduling or operations and maintenance or engineering experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated operational knowledge of work and asset management and analytical/reporting applications and understanding of utility finance, capital and O&M.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to administer gas utility business and or LNG/LPG plant standards, procedures, applicable government/environmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead company and business area strategies and objectives.
  • Proven results at setting, driving performance and operational metrics and achieving process adherence.
  • Will be required to be on call for escalated operations and emergencies.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $77,000 to $109,666 per year
