Data Center Specialist Job

Position Summary

Manage and maintain the physical layer of our IT infrastructure to best practice standards ensuring reliability, resiliency, and long-term operational sustainability. Operate and support the physical tape backup. Collaborate with users and technical teams to support incident resolution, systems monitoring, and problem analysis.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least one year of related experience. Demonstrated strong business and technical acumen.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and effectively apply learning.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working with data center equipment (servers, storage, network, appliances)
• LAN / WAN cabling installation experience
• Experience running and troubleshooting network communications cabling
• Experience with shipping and receiving of Data Center equipment
• Experience in documenting and escalating issues
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
• Intense focus on detail and accuracy of work.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $25.20 to $35.26 per hour
