Manager, Commercialization and Solution Sales Job

Position Summary

Identify, evaluate, and provide strategic leadership for development and execution of high visibility, enterprise-wide product deployments. Includes marketing, launch & growth plans and target financial metrics. Understands and implements operational components necessary to launch a new offering and monitors performance by KPIs. Gathers competitive intelligence on offerings, studies data trends to improve customer experience and increase customer choice. Aligns offerings to customer needs and values and develops effective commercialization plans that differentiate on quality, service, and outcomes with measurable positive ROI. Leads key commercialization, strategic account management and sales teams.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to develop, implement launch plans for new products, including operating, marketing, sales and regulatory plans, sales/growth/revenue/contract value targets. Lead the implementation of products/services, measure, and report on results. Accountable to execute and hit specific revenue, contract value and earning targets. Translates complex strategies into focused, achievable goals and takes decisive action when needed. Acts as a change leader and creates clarity, energy and commitment to initiatives by gaining buy-in and removing barriers. Identifies areas of opportunity to strengthen offerings and support commercialization team to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Finalize and implement business cases, partner with product development teams, operating companies, regulatory, acct mgnt, finance to execute strategic initiatives that compete in expanded markets, drive new revenue growth, retain and attract new customers. Lead launch of competitive offerings and confirm design/business model meet intended objectives. Make strategy and product adjustments to hit defined targets and stabilize.
  • Direct teams to exceed goals for customer and financial growth. Ensure resource allocation to foster positive relationships with internal/external customers and stakeholders. Ensure programs are delivering quality and value. Foster a culture inline with company values.
  • Direct team to leverage data within customer systems to support new product development, sales and marketing activities and track customer opportunities. Use analytics to improve the success and acceptance of customer solutions. Lead data mining for ideas on new offerings/enhancements to current programs. Build appropriate tools to track opportunities and metrics.
  • Act as liaison with key customers, stakeholders, policy makers and internal business partners. Advance long-term, enterprise-wide strategies through collaboration with product marketing, product development and other internal personnel who engage with key customers. Select and manage outside vendors secured by the company for work on key growth initiatives. Build trust with key stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related or equivalent experience in a relevant position.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 yrs Energy or related experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the regulated, utility financial model preferred.
  • 10 yrs of Management experience.

Required Skills
  • Ability to develop and communicate complex strategies, comprehensive planning, budgeting, P&L mgnt, program management, sound business judgment, excellent communication skills, problem resolution and results driven.
  • Proven ability to engage with executive leadership.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $100,000 to $142,000 per year
