Senior Software Asset Management Analyst Job

Position Summary
As a Senior Asset Management Analyst, you will focus on software vendor contracts and license management to ensure compliance across enterprise applications. You will work cross-organizationally to ensure processes are lean, valuable to users and to the organization, and compliant. This person will be a key contributor in the management of the IT Department, ensuring that Xcel Energy optimizes their processes and services, and drives benefit and compliance across the enterprise. They will provide proactive internal compliance reviews to assess any potential risks. They provide first-level support in the event of any support or audit pertaining to their process or service(s).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Service Lifecycle: Manage intake of process requests. Process requests in a timely manner and provide high service levels to customers. Track and report performance of the process. Provide reporting to leaders to ensure awareness of volume, efficiency, and ultimately value of the process.
  • Operations: Works with leaders and stakeholders to establish budget for needed costs, and continuously seek ways to reduce cost. Reviews and renews related contract/maintenance agreements in a timely manner. Monitors related contracts for compliance.
  • Relationship Management: Serves as the initial and ongoing contact with customers and vendors/providers on process initiation and any subsequent issues. Is the primary contact for compliance and audit reviews of the process. Works closely with other organizations as needed to support and continuously improve their respective processes and services.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position.
  • Five years of related functional experience.
  • Experience with Software Asset Management.
  • Experience working with one major vendor or multiple vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated project, product or process management skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledgeable regarding Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Strong communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
  • Strong Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with Flexera and/or Service Now
  • Expeirence reading and understanding contracts

 

During COVID-19 Pandemic this position may require the ability to temporarily work remote within the company service territory until company protocol dictates return to the office criteria has been met. Telecommuting Policy: A plan has been created to officially rollout a hybrid work-from-home option that will take effect when it is safe to move forward to return to the workplace. This position will participate in this new policy.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $72,100 to $102,433 per year
