Project Description:

Construction Services provides the resources for leadership and expertise in on-site construction management of capital projects such as: Construction of Wind Farms, Solar projects, Hydro Generation projects, as well as site demolition, and capital projects within the fossil fuel generation plants. The construction superintendent’s role will; assist project managers with writing scopes of work, bid reviews of contractors and suppliers, safety observations, conduction onsite meetings with contractors and subcontractors, project reviews and presentations, schedule and financial tracking, and project closeouts.

• Work with the Construction Superintendent staff to support Xcel Energy Capital projects, construction oversight. Work as an entry level Site Construction Superintendent, doing tasks that support the Safety program by conducting safety observations and documenting them in our Eco-Online system, working with our project control group with scheduling the construction activities, working with our Quality Control department, working with our supply chain group on bid reviews, contracts, and contractor safety policy. Practical on-site construction management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Junior or higher
• Primavera scheduling
• Construction management
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to be on the road a lot (living in hotels, visiting multiple construction sites)
• Must be able to work full time during the summer

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.40 per hour
