Position Summary

Serves as a key contributor to the governance and optimization of Xcel Energy’s Corporate Credit Card and Travel & Expense programs. This role is responsible for managing program operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. The Analyst will proactively monitor financial performance, identify trends, and implement solutions that enhance program efficiency and user experience. This position requires a high level of independence, analytical skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Program Administration & Compliance: Oversee the lifecycle of corporate card accounts, including issuance, limits, closures, and exception handling. Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, IRS, FERC, sales tax). Conduct compliance testing and escalate significant issues to appropriate stakeholders. Develop and maintain user documentation and policy guidance.
  • Financial Reconciliation & Data Analysis: Reconcile program-related accounts, ensuring consistency between transactional data and summary reports. Extract, validate, and analyze large datasets using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros) and other tools to identify trends, anomalies, and performance metrics. Generate and present reports that support strategic decision-making, continuous improvement, and data integrity across systems.
  • Audit & Risk Management: Coordinate and support internal audits, including transaction reviews and policy assessments. Serve as the primary liaison for audit inquiries and investigations. Implement corrective actions and advise stakeholders on compliance best practices.
  • Stakeholder Support & Training: Provide expert-level support to employees, executives, and external partners regarding program policies, system functionality, and issue resolution. Respond to fraud alerts and service tickets with urgency and professionalism. Design and deliver training sessions on system updates, policy changes, and process enhancements.
  • Project & Program Leadership: Lead and support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving program performance and user experience. Collaborate with IT and business units to troubleshoot system issues, conduct testing, and implement enhancements. Communicate project milestones, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma and at least 3 years of experience in Corporate Card Administration, Compliance, or Supply Chain or Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred and at least one-year relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of Word. Experience with SAP Concur preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $58,700.00 to $78,300.00 per year
