Most of our internships have a specific focus, but our interns often get broader exposure to Xcel Energy’s business, insight into different areas of the company and the chance to explore a career in the energy industry. About our Internship Programs
Overview
Most of our internships are full-time summer positions, but we also offer some part-time year-round co-op internships that can be set up to accommodate your class schedule. All internships are paid and include some level of benefits, such as a 401(k) and paid time off, and many of them can result in full-time jobs down the road, based on performance.
Requirements
We do require that our interns be enrolled in a full-time bachelor or master’s program and be actively taking classes. If your school requires that internships earn academic credit, we can work with them to facilitate that.
