C and I Billing Analyst

Position Summary

Perform activities to ensure accurate and timely billing of C&I Billing, Gas Transport, and Wholesale/Transmission customer accounts. Coordinate and analyze technical data for the billing activities of regulated and non-regulated commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. Assess interval measurement and billing information and process data to create accurate and timely customer billings. Provide technical expertise including researching, designing and developing individual billing applications to accommodate contracts for C&I service. Interface with departments to provide solutions to customer billing issues and to maintain quality customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

• Interpret & analyze measurement data or energy contracts and summarize conditions under which the company bills the provisions of tariffs and contracts. Initiate field action & make appropriate adjustments as needed. Ensure usage & billing compliance.
• Maintain electronic metering information, validate reads, coordinate meter device installs & removals.
• Analyze, compute, & process billings for our largest commercial, industrial, and complex customers.
• Create & maintain systems sources/databases. Monitor critical events impacting measurement data.
• Verify daily & weekly data transfers from GMS.
• Other duties as assigned including special projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Post high school education or equivalent required
• 7 years business experience, to include 5 years in Utility Billing or related function (accounting, rates, customer service)
• Familiarity with utility regulatory requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite Strong analytical or accounting based work history
• Ability to work on many projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional education in Business or related field
• Technical depth in systems and analysis

The anticipated starting base pay for this position for candidates in the Roseville, MN & Denver area is: $25.90-$35.22

The anticipated starting base pay for this position for candidates in Eau Claire, WI is $23.90 to $33.46

The anticipated starting base pay for this position for candidates in Amarillo, TX is $21.65 to $30.31

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.00 per hour
