Career Launch Analyst

Position Summary

Career Launch is an early career rotational program at Xcel Energy that offers recent college graduates a unique opportunity to explore various business units and gain diverse experiences. Over the course of two years, Career Launch Analysts will complete four rotational assignments, each lasting 6 months. These rotations provide exposure to different aspects of the energy industry, including Data Analytics, Technology, Security, Regulatory, Human Resources and Customer Care. As a participant, you will contribute to strategic initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop essential skills for your future career. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Critical Thinking: Engage in learning, designing, developing, executing, and presenting projects related to communications, marketing, technology, security, product development, and customer experience. 

• Analytics/Metrics/Reporting:  Utilize business systems and data to create impactful metrics, reports and other analytics. Learn to "tell the story" by leveraging data and information. 

• Project/Initiative Support: Assist in project planning, tracking project deliverables, and documenting key initiatives. Provide technical expertise and analytical guidance. Collaborate on cross-functional teams or companywide projects. 

• Communication:  Develop effective strategic communications for business area activities.  Tailor communication strategies based on corporate guidelines and audience needs.  Partner with team members, business area leaders, and Corporate Communications. 

• Collaboration: Work with Business Units across Xcel Energy. Utilize collaboration tools for effective communication and status updates. Develop solutions to achieve operational goals and manage costs. 

Minimum Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in business, liberal arts, technology, engineering, or a related field. 

• 0-2 years of relevant experience. 

• Self-initiator with strong self-management skills. 

• Demonstrated accountability for personal and team responsibilities. 

• Experience with customer and stakeholder engagement. 

• Comfortable in professional environments. 

• Drive for continuous improvement. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

• Proficiency in written and verbal communication using the Microsoft Office suite. 

• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $53,300.00 to $65,000.00 per year
