Project Description
The engineering intern will provide reliability engineering support to Harrington and Nichols Stations and work closely with the engineers at each facility to develop engineering skills to allow the reliable operation and maintenance of power plant equipment.
The support will include overhaul planning, capital projects, troubleshooting of power plant equipment, working with contractors both onsite and offsite.
Work with the Engineering staff to support the Transmission Control Center.
Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks that support the tools, programs, and databases used to perform various operational tasks such as outage coordination, power flow studies, power system monitoring, and assist with operator training.
Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.
This will be an engineering internship opportunity (starting in January 2025) with the potential to be able to work full-time during the summer. If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time.
Minimum Requirements
Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, studying areas such as electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.70 to $24.00 per hour
This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
