Facility Damage Analyst

Position Summary
Coordinates and analyzes information associated with damage to company property. Gather, review and summarize damage investigation documentation to determine liability that may involve company facilities. This includes assigning liabilities, determining denials and negotiating final settlement of claims. This position will provide support and training with regard to the damage-tracking database and all associated systems and processes to various business units throughout company. Responsible for investigation related to disputed cost of repair to damaged facilities, in conjunction with Claims Department to ensure claim is resolved and closed in a timely manner.
Essential Responsibilities
Gather and analyze internal and external field reports and conduct investigations as appropriate in order to determine liability on damage to company property. Document findings and make recommendations about billing third parties for the cost of repairing the property damage. Input, audit and maintain the data contained in the various software applications used in the department. Maintain internal controls within software programs utilized to report and assess liability to damage claims throughout Xcel Energy service territory. Act as liaison between system users and software vendors and/or IBM to identify and troubleshoot system problems.
Liaison between Damage Prevention, and Xcel Energy business units as related to damage database. Assists with training on database and processes as needed.
Respond to reports of damage on as needed basis 24 by 7 to investigate damage as needed. Provide technical and expertise advice and direction to problem solving.
Work with Xcel Energy, State, County, Municipal personnel and other facility owners to ensure excavation community is aware of one-call policies and procedures. This includes coordination and attendance of various trade shows and seminars as required.
Minimum Requirements
Associate Degree in Business Administration or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Two to five years field operations experience.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficient with use of MS/Office suite products.
Demonstrated knowledge of specialized software, which includes but is not limited to IRTH and Passport, etc.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $58,700.00 to $78,300.00 per year
