Position Summary
Applies visionary and strategic leadership in directing the activities of the Distribution Engineering organization to manage the Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration processes across company service territories ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the distribution system. Supports and advocates for effective DER integration polices, working with public utility commissions and key stakeholders to align rules and processes to support the company's strategic direction. Works closely with Customer Solutions and Distribution Operations leadership to ensure compliance with applicable rule and regulations. Provides engineering expertise regarding DER, grid impacts and project management. Represents the company in regulatory and legal matters. Manages routine budgets.
Essential Responsibilities
Provides leadership for staff regarding DER integration processes across all service territories ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the distribution system.
Supports and advocates for effective DER integration polices, working with public utility commissions and key stakeholders to align rules and processes to support the company's strategic direction. Provides engineering expertise regarding DER, grid impacts and project management.
Ensure maximum utilization of human resources by promoting teamwork, diversity, safety, customer orientation and development of individual potential.
Coordinates the activities of the Unit with internal and external organizations to support corporate objectives and meet customer needs.
Accountable for achievement of goals relative to project completion, budgets, safety, facility performance, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Manages development of Unit business plan and operating budget. Monitors results. Ensures alignment with organization and corporate objectives.
Stays abreast of new technologies and current industry practices. Represents Company in Regional/National organizations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred) or related work experience.
Seven years of distribution engineering and/or equivalent experience which includes a minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience.
Preferred Requirements
Professional Engineering licenses.
Experience with DER integration processes and technology desired.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $122,000.00 to $173,933.33 per year
