Position Summary
Responsible for providing the oversight, leadership and direction in the scoping, planning, scheduling, executing, monitoring, and assessing work done by a large vendor partner. This will typically involve managing a multi-million dollar, multi-year contract in the execution of outage activities or large on-line work windows. Primary interface with site vendor manager who is responsible for considerable scope and resources during outage and non-outage work windows.
Essential Responsibilities
- Act as primary liaison between the company's Nuclear department and vendor partner leadership in the establishment of standards and alignment on scope, schedule, and key deliverables of performance.
- Serve as the senior nuclear leader responsible for managing employees and contractor oversight over on-site and off-site vendor activities in their responsible area promptly acting to correct and communicate deficiencies.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain in the development, maintenance, and execution of contracts and procurement of materials and tools needed to support the assigned scope of work.
- Coordinate leaders from Operate, Maintain, and Support groups in the planning and scheduling tasks, setting sequences, and aligning resources to execute assigned work scope.
- Support supplemental worker in-processing, on-boarding, and termination as needed.
- Facilitate investigations and troubleshooting of equipment and human performance issues in their assigned area and provides oversight of applicable corrective actions.
- Conduct self-assessments and benchmarking activities to support an ongoing continual improvement effort.
- Serves as a member of the ERO when assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction or project management or equivalent technical experience required. Ten years of nuclear experience in engineering, project management, operations, or maintenance is required. Three years in a leadership role desired. Current or previous SRO or RO license or SRO certification and previous experience in a project management role desired. Three years of related experience in the specific area of oversight (refueling operations, turbine maintenance, etc.) is desired. Working Conditions: Requires frequent (weekly) visits to one or both nuclear sites; during unit shutdown periods (forced or planned) this position will be expected to report to the impacted site for the duration of the shutdown. This position will be a part of the ERO team at one site.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $109,500.00 to $155,500.00 per year
