Telecommuting Policy:  This position will participate in a hybrid work-from-home option and is based in Denver, Colorado. Students may be required to come onsite to our office located in Downtown Denver at 1800 Larimer Street (as needed).

This internship starts in January 2025 and lasts through December 2025.

The paralegal intern will have the opportunity to further develop their legal education, establish meaningful contacts, improve the quality of their work product through comprehensive feedback, and aspire to a rewarding career in the law.  This is a paid position which runs concurrently with the 15-week course semesters, working part-time up to 20 hours per week over the course of a year.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Legal reading/writing content
  • Legal Research
  • Draft routine pleadings, contracts and agreements
  • Prepare case summaries
  • Compile and track data from documents into document management system
  • Review business agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents
  • Perform a variety of technical, and administrative tasks using in-house platforms
  • Other duties as determined

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited community college or university paralegal program pursuing a paralegal certification, (Associate of Applied Science) A.A.S. with emphasis in paralegal studies.  Recent graduates are not eligible.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Westlaw
  • Completed the classes: Legal Research, Civil Litigation, Evidence, and Legal Writing course curriculums
  • Strong attention to detail

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $25.00 per hour
