Position Summary:
The Operating Company President leads the strategic direction with accountability over the operational management of their jurisdiction, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives. This executive leadership position is accountable for leading commercial growth and delivering reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy solutions within their jurisdiction(s). The President is responsible for driving regional P&L growth through both direct and indirect influence, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering stakeholder relationships, championing safety culture, and advancing energy grid infrastructure improvements to achieve business, customer, and environmental objectives. As part of a matrix organization, the President must demonstrate an enterprise-level mindset, driving towards the corporate vision of being the trusted and preferred provider of energy for customers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership to the senior leadership team and employees, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and enhance operational performance.
- Work closely with the CEO and board of directors to develop long-term strategies. Define goals, budgets, and translate to action plans in line with strategic objectives. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to adapt strategies as necessary.
- Accountable for operational results of the jurisdiction, including generation, transmission, and distribution of energy. Drive optimization of operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage jurisdictional budget, ensuring financial health and sustainability. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Develop financial strategies to drive commercial growth.
- Accountable for achievement of successful regulatory outcomes by setting regulatory strategies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and by proactively engaging with regulatory bodies.
- Build deep relationships with customers and deliver compelling customer value proposition, while balancing customer needs with other stakeholder needs. Enhance customer experience by implementing initiatives that improve service quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and investors. Represent the company in industry forums and public engagements. Communicate effectively with shareholders about company performance and strategic direction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; MBA, JD, or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the energy sector or a regulated operating industry, or similar environment with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role in a complex, preferably multi-jurisdictional and matrixed organization with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing strategy and driving growth in a multi-jurisdictional and matrixed environment, strong business development skills and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated success in managing key stakeholder relationships and building strategic stakeholder management plans; preference for those with existing networks within the communities served.
- Possesses a customer and community focused mindset with the main goal of enhancing customer experience and promoting positive corporate stewardship; experience driving continuous improvement across the business that addresses customer needs.
- Holds a credible executive presence both internally and externally; possesses highly articulate communication skills and is a skilled negotiator that balances need of the company and external stakeholders.
The total compensation package for this role will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $0.10 per year
