Position Summary:
The Principal UX/UI Designer leads high-impact design initiatives that shape user experience strategy and execution across the organization. As a recognized expert and thought leader, this role operates autonomously, partnering directly with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions. The Principal UX UI Designer drives innovation, mentors design talent, and ensures design excellence through thought leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of transformative projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition and delivery of innovative design solutions that set organizational or industry benchmarks. Operate independently with minimal oversight
- Pioneer advanced, new approaches in design methodologies, tools, and processes to drive cutting-edge user experiences and elevate design standards.
- Provide thought leadership in design strategy, influencing business direction and shaping the organization’s design culture in partnership with senior leaders.
- Guide cross-functional teams—including product and engineering—toward a shared vision and execution of end-to-end user experiences with an enterprise-wide impact.
- Own and drive transformative design initiatives from planning to execution, delivering measurable business impact and enhance user satisfaction.
- Develop and evolve design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and innovation across products.
- Mentor and support the growth of UX team members, delegating assignments, and fostering skill development and design maturity across high-visibility projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience with 8 years in UX design, with demonstrated leadership in high-impact projects and cross-functional collaboration. Recognized as a functional leader and expert in the field.
- Mastery in design systems, prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch), and user research methodologies.
- Strong communication, mentorship, and strategic thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience leading design in enterprise or complex product environments; background in design operations or systems thinking; active participation and contribution within the UX community and associated organizations.
