Position Summary
Responsible for establishing and administering project scheduling and cost control across operations $4B-$5B, 5 year capital portfolio of work. Responsible for providing management, direction and support to the operations Project Controls organization. Recommends and coordinates business processes when it comes to project scheduling, project cost controls, financial planning, work order creation, work order closing and any other Project Controls functions. Recommends and coordinates business process and solutions to business area financial, accounting and scheduling processes to achieve efficiencies and savings for the corporation. Ensures project goals are accomplished and comply with corporate policy and governance. This position interacts with the project management team on a daily basis, business area executive management and develops solid relationships with all levels throughout the company to obtain results. This position assists in the implementation and achievement of goals, KPIs and measurement of business initiatives within operational business area.
Essential Responsibilities
Establishes and administers project control criteria and requests audit oversight of projects, as appropriate. Administration of project control criteria shall follow all regulations including but not limited to Sarbanes Oxley. Ensure personnel performing opening and closing of work orders do so in accordance with operational standards and processes.
Responsible for ensuring and the development of project controls tools, policies and procedures. Responsible for the maintenance of project schedules across operations using the Project Management software system.
Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with all organization involved in the execution of the capital portfolio; Engineering ; Project Management; Construction ;testing personnel. Work closely with the Manager, Project Management and any individual Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely processing of work orders.
Responsible for managing a team of individuals who work closely with the Project Managers, data analyst, and/or project control coordinators on all financial planning and financial tracking issues.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience is required.
Seven years' experience in one or more of the following areas: cost accounting, project management, project controls.
Utility industry experiences a plus.
Fully experienced in project management and the implementation and management of new processes.
Requires time management skills for directing a variety of projects in addition to an understanding of the ways in which technology options are applicable.
This position requires management experience and the flexibility to deal with people at a variety of levels internally and externally.
Demonstrated initiative, good judgment and ability to achieve results through others.
Travel to multiple offices is required.
Preferred Requirements
Certifications in Project Management or CPA.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $125,900.00 to $178,766.00 per year
