Senior RTO ISO Analyst

Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to accurately understand, account for and report all ISO/RTO transactions (sales/purchases, ancillary services, etc.) for the power marketing business. Responsibilities include a) shadow settlements using the respective ISO data to reconcile to internal data, b) analysis of energy, revenue, LMP, congestions, losses, Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) and all other charge type calculations used in the settlement of day-ahead and real-time markets, c) data entry in the transaction accounting systems, d) reconciliation of ISO settlement statements and invoices, e) communication with various ISOs to resolves discrepancies and to submit disputes, f) manage the invoice and payment process, g) record journal entries into the general ledger, h) reconcile various general ledger accounts and i) provide ISO analysis of activity to management.
Essential Responsibilities
- Download and review the daily ISO settlement files and reconcile transmission, energy and pricing to the Xcel Energy transaction system. Research discrepancies and resolve differences to complete the checkout process. Work with the front office to resolve scheduling and settlement issues.
- Maintain detailed supporting documentation of ISO activity. Provide analysis of ISO activity to front office traders and management to enhance the Company's bidding strategies.
- Reconcile ISO invoices, research discrepancies and resolve differences with the various ISOs. Prepare and process requests for payment with appropriate approval authority. Must meet invoicing deadlines and payment processing deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Complete monthly general ledger journal entries, analyze results for correctness and provide the supporting detail reports to the appropriate departments. Maintain files and workpapers for audit purposes.
- Assist in the development of new settlement systems, processes and controls
- Reconcile applicable general ledger accounts and provide detailed analysis of account activity to management.
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Three or more years experience in Transmission Accounting, ISO or an energy trading environment may replace the degree requirement.
- Candidate must have proven abilities in learning systems and be skilled in Excel and other Windows based programs.
- Energy industry experience is preferred.
Preferred
- Skillsets or experience with SQL, Alteryx, Power BI preferred

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $71,900.00 to $102,100.00 per year
