Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing project management, direction and leadership to the Transmission area as it relates to Regulatory Compliance and Service Policy. This will include providing policy and compliance guidance on new tariff development, FERC filings, compliance with state guidelines, service policy as it relates to providing customers transmission service, compliance with tariff-related regulation, compliance with NERC policies. Responsible for the integration of business overall processes with the Customer and Field Operations compliance program and coordination with the corporate compliance officer.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Direction of the Overall Transmission Compliance Plan. This will include all federal, state, applicable regulatory bodies (e.g. NERC, WECC, MISO, SPP etc.) and contractual compliance filing and data responsibilities for Transmission. This will entail some project direction to establish and implement the plan across the organization.

  • Direction of the Transmission Service policy process across the organization. Transmission policy as it relates to Transmission-to-Transmission Interconnections, Generation Interconnections, Load Service Policy and others. This effort will entail some project direction to establish and implement the Policy process across the organization.

  • Direction of the NERC/FERC reliability standards program and coordination of the overall audit process for the regulators for Transmission. This effort will entail some project direction to establish and implement the updated NERC/FERC policies process across the organization.

  • Technical guidance and coordination for the overall integration with the various RTO's as it relates to the Transmission Business policy.

  • Key liaison with the Compliance Governance process for the Transmission business area as it relates to overall company compliance standard implementation (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley).

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Minimum of 5 years energy transmission system management experience required. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current and proposed FERC requirements and regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated large project management skills.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $105,600.00 to $150,000.00 per year

Pay and benefit packages may vary based on position. Some employees are under collective bargaining agreements, which determine the benefits they will receive.
