Project Description:
Our department is Substation Engineering. It is composed of Engineers and Designers. Our task is to create and update drawings that relate to our substations and Transmission System. The Design group uses MicroStation to create and update drawings under the direction of the Engineering group. We work in an open group environment divided into project teams. Group communication is essential to complete our projects on time. Interns are mentored by Engineering and Design employees. The Intern will learn how to work in a team environment using the latest software.
Our projects range from large scale greenfield subs with hundreds of drawings down to smaller upgrades on existing substations with substantially less drawings. All projects are deadline driven and include a detailed schedule with separate due dates for each task.
This opportunity will begin in January with the potential to work through the summer. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer. If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time 10 to 20hr.
Minimum Requirements:
Basic computer skills - Word/Excel/Outlook
MicroStation experience required/preferred

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.70 per hour
This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
