Supply Chain Card Team Intern

The company’s Supply Chain Process and Program Controls team consists of a Compliance Team and a Corporate Credit Card/Travel team ("Card Team"). Members of these team collaborate to implement compliance, audit and compliance strategies designed to align with the Xcel Energy’s business goals. This intern position will support the Card Team, an essential program at Xcel Energy that provides management over employees’ purchases and provides a limit as to how much an employee can spend on behalf of the Company. As a member of Card team, the intern will support the team’s corporate-wide programs, including: Corporate OneCard, SumTotal Expense Management System, Concur Travel Booking Tool, Voyager Fleet Fuel Card, Amazon Business, and the Supply Chain Hotline/Get Assistance Ticketing Tool. The intern will gain a solid understanding of how these programs are essential for Xcel Energy, as expenses, travel and spending occurs company-wide on a daily basis. Under the intern program, you will assist with managing process, compliance and audit of company policies to ensure visibility over employee spending and overall business expenses .
Key responsibilities will include:
- Learning Card Team policy and procedures
- Performing audits of employee expense reports
- Manage/create expense reporting as needed
- Assisting employees with program/system questions
This may be a summer, fall, and/or winter opportunity with the potential for school semester engagement. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hrs./wk. during a school semester.
- Pursuing a degree in Business or other related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other similar programs
- Comfortable with reporting or able to quickly learn
- Good customer service skills to help employees and diagnose problems

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $19.00 per hour
