Position Summary:

Manage a team responsible for developing and maintaining a supplier relationship management (SRM) program that broadens our supplier base, reflects our commitment to our local communities in which we serve, and holds suppliers accountable to all relevant regulatory and federal guidelines. This includes compliance with human rights regulations, ethical sourcing practices, and environmental standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and drive the implementation of Responsible Sourcing strategies and policies. Maintain the Supplier Code of Conduct and ensure adherence by suppliers is taken into consideration for selection and monitored ongoing.  Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure opportunities for broad supplier inclusion are maximized, including local and small businesses.

  • Manage holistic strategies for key suppliers/partners that cross categories and business units to integrate all relevant strategies and support opportunities to partner for growth. Drive continuous improvement end to end within supplier lifecycle management processes. 

  • Develop and communicate an end-to-end/holistic understanding of the relationship needs of key strategic suppliers/partners by working closely with Category Management teams, Capital Project Sourcing, and business units. 

  • Drive understanding and communication regarding key supplier/partner relationships and priorities. Act as a key liaison for Supply Chain to Community Affairs, Corporate Compliance, and Investor Relations. Build engagement externally with agencies, councils, and peers to drive best practices and program development. Present a positive public image of Xcel Energy. 

  • Ensure annual regulatory reporting requirements with local, state, and federal government agencies are met. Present quarterly to OpCo Presidents. Ensure program level KPIs and reporting are available.

  • Hire, manage, coach, and develop staff to create a high performing workforce to meet Xcel Energy's present and future needs.

  • Lead collaboration with Corporate Sustainability team to ensure alignment with corporate sustainability goals.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes to ensure data accuracy, including spend allocation, supplier performance, and compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, technical/analytical field, or related field.

- Minimum of five years in supply chain management with two years of experience developing and implementing supplier responsibility/sustainability programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Previous experience with stakeholder relationship building and ability to facilitate alignment.

- Experience with annual regulatory reporting requirements for local, state, and federal government agencies/ regulations in regard to supplier base.

- Strong corporate communication, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills. Demonstrated skills in change management and continuous improvement.

- Experience in leading change programs.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $120,000.00 to $155,000.00 per year
