Summary
Manage the day to day operations of the Talent Acquisition department to meet/exceed quality, cost, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Manage the day to day operations of the Talent Acquisition department to meet/exceed quality, cost, and customer satisfaction metrics. Monitor and adjust distribution of work among team members as workloads shift. Responsible for managing department programs/projects such as EEI testing, data/analytics, recruitment marketing, system implementations, reasonable accommodation job search, and productivity based process improvements. Train recruiters to source and recruit applicants and manage the recruitment process for Xcel Energy positions using various methods to build talent pipelines.
  • Talent Management: Effectively attract, recruit, select and retain employees. Manage employee performance through goal/expectation setting, feedback, and recognition. Establish and communicate clear performance expectations and motivate team members to achieve goals. Prepare and implement knowledge transfer plans that reflect projected turnover and future skill needs. Foster a culture that supports and drives collaboration, diversity and employee development.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain working relationships with team members, HR partners, and business area leaders. Responsible for ensuring that assigned business area customer’s needs are met within full cycle of recruitment activities and delivered with high customer satisfaction. Partner with other areas within HR in meeting the needs of the business unit on special talent acquisition initiatives or projects. Coordinate efforts with the business and peers to assess overall effectiveness of programs/processes.
  • Self-Management: Drive and support the implementation of process improvements related to the day to day operations of the department. Ensure the right level of work is assigned to team members by appropriately delegating work and decisions.
  • Strategist: Communicate corporate and business area visions, business plans and key objectives to team members. Ensure that tactical talent acquisition plans align with and support current and future business area and corporate goals. Lead and support department and cross-functional projects/initiatives aligning with the company and HR strategies. Manage resources and people to execute plans and meet objectives, deadlines, and customer requirements. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and competitive recruiting practices.

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years recruiting/sourcing experience in a corporate environment or related HR experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a Talent Acquisition or HR function.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective customer relationships.

Preferred
  • Experience in campus recruiting and external sourcing desired.
  • Recruitment function strategy and design experience desired.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $77,000 to $109,666 per year
