Summary

We are looking for a hard-working Roustabouts to join the Xcel Energy team in Granby, Colorado! This position will assist Field Operators and Working Foreman in the overall operation and maintenance of Natural Gas gathering systems, compressor stations, storage facilities, transmission facilities and metering facilities. Must live within 40 minutes or 40 miles of the Granby Service Center. Pay rate is $31.57.

Duties/Responsiblities:

• Maintain typical pipeline equipment, and basic measurement equipment, valves, etc

• Must be able to work with and interact with others in the field operations group as well as Gas Control, Safety, and Engineering Departments

• Operation & maintenance of LNG & natural gas pipeline and station facilities

• Self-motivated, and ability to work alone

• Accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment, must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Required

• High School education

• Class A CDL Drivers License with hazmat indorsement required or ability to obtain within 6 months

• Must have successfully passed the EEI Construction and Skilled Trades test.

Preferred

• Experience in the Natural Gas industry.

• Experience maintaining and operating natural gas compressors.

• Strong mechanical ability

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair of gas engines, electric motors and compressors

• Knowledge of maintenance and repair of production equipment including various types of pumps, valves, regulators, dump valves, mechanical seals and dryers

• SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge

• Knowledge of CFR 49 part 192

• Knowledge of locates and locating equipment

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $31.57 per hour
